Ofsted Inspection May 2016
On behalf of the governing body and staff of Winnersh Primary School, we have pleasure in attaching a copy of the latest Ofsted Report following our inspection on 24th and 25th May. We are pleased that the Inspection Team confirmed that we are a good school.
The Inspection Team recognised the hard work, commitment and professionalism of the staff which has resulted in such significant improvement in the quality of teaching and learning over the past two years. We are pleased that the areas for improvement identified in the previous 2014 report have been addressed fully. An example of this is the provision we make for children with special educational needs which is now seen as a strength of the school.
We are particularly delighted that the report recognises that ‘Leaders ensure that all pupils achieve their potential’. The children are at the heart of everything we do and it is good to know that the inspectors recognised this, commenting that our provision for children’s social, moral, spiritual and cultural development is ‘top notch’; an expression not often used in Ofsted reports.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who were able to complete Ofsted’s Parent View or speak to the inspectors during their visit. We remain committed to further improvement as we continue our journey to becoming an outstanding school.
